It is a large city on the west coast that is known for its bustle and diversity. Mumbai has been the movie capital of India for decades, and it has showcased its vibrant culture in various movies. Mumbai 118 hindi dubbed, also known as 'Mumbai: The Strongest City', provides a glimpse into the world of Indian cinema and gives viewers an inside look into how some of these movies were made. This film was commissioned by the Government of Maharashtra to show what really goes on behind-the-scenes in Indian films, which is different from what many people think. From the pre-production phase to the post-production, leading to the release of movies, this film gives viewers a glimpse into how movies are made. The program also takes a look at the life of film artistes, which it reveals is not what people are led to believe – they are not 'superstars' but they are ordinary Indians who dedicate them all their life for this field and for their country. The film begins with a beautiful shot showing landscapes and architecture of an unidentified city. A group of people comes out from one building and decides to move on towards another one. One of them travels in a rickshaw, which has several seats attached to it. The rickshaw-puller is presented in a respectful way, with no attempt to portray him as a lower caste person; he speaks intelligent English with the people in the building and offers them to take their luggage and leave it with him. This scene clearly illustrates that rickshaw-pullers are not mere labourers, but they also have some level of understanding of English and they can be good hosts to their clients. Next we see two young girls talking about how hard it is to get jobs in such a crowded city such as Mumbai. The director cuts the scene and we see another girl who has taken a job in movie industry, she tells us that she couldn’t get any job so she is working in movies. Also we see comedian Govinda, who is riding a bicycle on the streets of Mumbai and we hear his commentary, which is actually a part of the pre-production process and no one notices him. The first interviewee in this documentary is film director Aditya Dhar. He talks about his film 'Mumbai: The Strongest City' and explains the kind of challenges he faced while making this movie. The main director agrees with him that it was never easy to make a movie in India because most people there call off their work during weekends. Also he says that even though most people believe that movies are made in studios, they do not realise how much work goes behind making a good movie. 'The people who watch films and think that it is just a work of fiction…who think that we will create all the scenes and then we will film it…have zero idea about what we actually do' he tells. The director also talks about the difficulties related to funding the film. He says you need so many things to make a movie such as cameras, lights, and props. And you can get all these things only if you have money. The interviewer goes on to interview Komal Nahta, who is one of India’s leading film critics and a film trade expert. Mr. cfa1e77820
